They are all pretty cool, but I see a lot of red in the faces...you're sure about your white-balance here?

If they are English then that accounts for the redness of their faces

Rachel's mum had just been and gotten a fake tan, John had a motorcycle accident when he was younger and has trouble, so has a redish face anyway..

the kids had been running a muk around the house for an hour before they had their shots

Very nice work there...but a question--why do so many portrait shoots avoid natural light? But then again I detest sudio lighting and I think I have used my flashgun twice in the last couple years.

My only other comment would possibly to suggest more camera above/camera below poses as most of these are straight on.

you sure have talent in the studio and on the PC. They should be very happy!

camera below isn't very flattering to people who don't have stick like figures, i was shooting from above them, not straight on.. (even in the ones where they were standing - they're a good 7 inches shorter than me )

And I did say it was nice work. But were you using flash diffusers/bounce because the lighting does look a wee bit harsh......
