Hi Guys, This is Reggie's Wife. Thanks so much for all your comments, I really do appreciate it.

Like Reggie said right now I have a fuji finepix S5000 its a nice enough camera for still shots... but moving animals or flying planes is more luck the skill getting them where i want them coz the sutter lag is horrible. I often just use everything on Auto on it as well because changes things doent really make that much difference.

I genarally just love taking photos anything from flowers in the garden to castles to landsapes and planes. Here are some of my most recent shots to give you an idea of what i take pics of...

I had a look at the Fuji Finepix S9500 but i have been most impressed by the canon 350D and I would really rather move to a DSLR Long story short I need a camera that will take good still shots and good moving shots and a decent lens to get those lovely closeups...

Thanks again so much for helping a newbie \:D

Welcome "Reggie's Wife" ;\)

If you want to get into the DSLR hobby of photography I would make the jump know to a better camera. My co-worker who got me into the Fuji P&S cameras has the 9500 and it's a great camera, but it's still a P&S..

I was amazed how the images came out when I first started using my Nikon D70 coming from the same Fuji S5000.

I would suggest checking out some of the camera shops in your area to see what you think once you have it in your hand.

Then watch out, because it's all down hill then. Lens Addiction sets in \:D

Actually Andy was the first to mention it & I just fleshed out some details. Not even as if I went overboard just said to watch out for full reviews.

I still think that the best entry level DSLR was the Dynax/Maxxum 5D, shame that it had such a short time to prove it.
& you've got to admit that the initial previews for the Alpha 100 look pretty good - punching well above it's intended class.
Of course we await official reviews of production cameras but at the moment the main con is that at least for a while virtually all retailers will be selling at MSRP - I'm told that a lot of initial launch stock is already sold out on pre-order, that factory production has been doubled and sales targets increased to well over 200 per cent of the April expectations..

We all have a slight bias to what we are used to (& yes, I have used Canons & Nikons) as long as it does what we expect of it.
Don't knock it without trying it though - if you get a chance in a retailer try 1 out as I'm a great believer in that rather than buying sight unseen & hoping that it will suit you.

Andy's wife - Thanks for the great pictures. I especially liked the composition of the Spitfire MkIX Take Off. Makes me feel like I was there. I can almost hear the engine.

To Flat Eric

Any chance of getting your fantastic pictures in an even higher resolution? Maybe by personal mail?
Flying Legends 2006 was just awesome this year and your pictures show it very well. The shot with the two P51´s doing their formation flying routine says it all.
