If it isn't too much bother, could someone tell me what the various vehicle
types are in BF2 for each side (US, China and Middle East)? I'd be interested to know.

Are they all types currently in service, or (given the game's near-future setting) are there any
experimental/prototype examples such as the JSF?

Thanks for the link - looks like quite an interesting vehicle lineup. Is the US the only side with boats and ships, however?
It also seems odd that the Middle Eastern forces have modern Russian vehicles. The MEC basically seems to be the Russian army/air force with a desert paint scheme!
I know that the sides have to be balanced, but given the Battlefield series' record with regard to realistic armoured combat, I wouldn't think most casual (i.e non-sim) gamers would notice if the MEC had MiG-21s, T-55s and BTR-70s with the same hitpoints and firepower as their US equivalents!


Still, I will almost definitely be buying BF2 some time in the next few weeks. I originally intended to give it a miss,
thinking it was simply another BFV-style rehash with a few minor tweaks and improvements, but the things I've heard
about the new features such as the commander mode and improved teamwork, plus the greatly improved offline AI, have changed my mind.
