I'll say it again, if you guys ever need a beta tester, give me a shout here ;\)

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

carrier was standing still in that particular shot. dont worry though - in version last year - we had carrier landing on moving carrier. the only physics problem i never got round to sorting out was aircraft behaviour on a carrier that is turning.

The carrier part will be hopefully reworked to allow it to have multiple hitpoints for damage and moving bits like the aircraft - that carrier in screenshot is just a 'hack' I did to show it in-game and enable carrier deck behavior, notice how it lacks the ski-jump ramp in front and other important features.

With carrier feature complete (damageable, with ramp and other missing parts), with a good ground/deck behavior, probably we will have the first simple complete missions: take off from carrier, bomb some target in island (for example Stanley's airfield hangar and parked aircraft) and return to carrier. This will probably deserve a new website article too because we'd be reaching a level of having a very useable flightsim engine made entirely by us from scratch. ;\)

That looks absolutely superb, the Shar rolling in pic is great, good sense of altitude. Are we going to see sheep/old waling stations entering the ground objects library? Also, what in the way of AAA are you expecting to put in the engine?

I hope you guys are going to include a flight recorder option. It would be a shame to waste those views.

Some new pics of areas I'm currently working on:

Fitzroy

Goose Green

Bodie Creek

Of course they're still missing the 3d ground clutter and other details that I will add as next step.

Matter of taste, I rather prefer the second one showing Goose Green. Already very nice work on the details.

Thanks for these screenshots Dante-JT

Fantastic! On a related note, please make sure all 3D objects cast a dynamic shadow in the final release, this makes the graphics so much more convincing. LOMAC does a pretty good job, trees are practically the only objects without a shadow.
