I just found a very good and detailed (in german, though) description of most of the Anti-Shipping Sorties flown by the Argentinian Side in the Falkland's Conflict, and if there's one thing that really sticks out then it's the incredible high number of dud bomb hits.

Seems to me for every exploding hit they had 2 or 3 duds that on occasion even went straight trough the ship without detonating.

One has to wonder what would have happened if their bomb fuses would have been better adapted for low-level delivery...

IIRC the Argentine navy had trained for low-level delivery and their fuses were set accordingly.

The navy much better results than the Argentine air force (who flew the majority of the missions), who had trained for medium-level attacks and had to change their fuses in a hurry.
