Hi all, today I was reinstalling USAF and half way through the computer restarted by itself, I don't know how. And now when I try to reinstall USAF, it says " severe USAF is currently being installed " and then it CDT. I used the USAF repair tool and when I try to reinstall the same thing happens again. Can you guys please help?
Thanks.

Go to Start/settings/control panel/add remove programs. Find USAF. Uninstall it there. Check program files for your USAF if it is there run the uninstaller from there also. Or, now go to your HD. Open your USAF folder find your Externel folder, double click on your setup, click on uninstall. There will be a few files left just delete them.
Or if your OS has a restore point go back to before you uninstalled USAF

If that doesnt do it.check this.....run regedit...press F3 and find all references (keys) to usaf and delete them and exit regedit....it cleans reistry too which ive had to do a few times ..works fine so long as you remove the folders etc as posted above 1st

Well, it kinda worked. I was able to completely remove USAF, but now when I reinstall, it says it cannot copy a wav file called pa_gsh008 and then if I continue with the installation, when I start the game it says dll missing. When I check the directory of USAF, theres only half the stuff there should be there. I guess my only option is to do a complete reformat. Tried the installation from XP and Win 98 non worked. If anyone else has this problem and was able to get it worked out please let me know. What the hell si a .dll anyway? \:D
Cheers

Did you have your cd in the drive when you uninstalled USAF.

You might have deleted some stuff off of your game CD. I know 1 of our squad mates did the uninstall thing and he had to buy a new cd.
