The original game reminds me of an old book from the "Wingman" series I found, the Russian planes don't turn and the Russian missiles don't work.

In real life with good pilots on both sides, a Mig-29A can expect a 1 to 1 kill ratio, even in relatively large battles.

Has this been adressed?

As far as Im concerned can a game ever be deemed as "realistic"?...ive been in an RAF simulator, getting chucked about in tight turns,combat manoeuvers and turbulent landings now thats what I call realistic...no sim could come close,not that ive seen yet....

Myself, I've made the S-37 and the Su-35 subtypes of the F-22, so it has thrust vectoring. I also made their weight a bit lower then the F-22's, so it handles better. Very cool and fun to fly!

I heard that either in Superpro or Admin that they were going to cut the F-22. I hope they keep the F-22 flight model though, for these planes. I've seen the Su-35 doing better maneuvers than what's possible in USAF (cobra, hook, somersault, etc. ).

the realistic sims as far as known are
Flight Simualtor (.....,98,2000,2002,2004)
Falcon 4 SuperPaK 3
Lo:Mac (coming soon we hope !!!!!! \:D )

now, IAF/USAF has some realistic stuff
but not in such high levels ;\)

i also heard that Flnker 2.51 is good
and has the abilty to the "Cobra"
but i don't know much about the game although i have it :rolleyes:
and some Lo:Mac models are taken from Flanker
the same company created them both

What I heard about LOMAC was that there will be added 30% of effectivity for US planes so I wouldnt call it realistic if it is true :-)

Nesher is right.

You can also add Jane's F/A-18 to the list. That's what we call "hardcore sims". These sims are very realistic compare to USAF. To me USAF looks more like an arcade game than a sim. But it is perfect for beginners who never play flight sims. I myself began playing flight sims with USAF. It has very basic avionics and flight models, but it includes a lot of fun missions.

I have modified FA to give it the right kill ratio even against humans (almost) and I managed to implement the cobra.

How would I go about tweaking weapons in USAF?

Avi, how do you get the plane to do 90 degrees aoa? In the videos I've seen of the Su-27 doing the cobra, it moves completely horizontal while the nose points straight up.
