This is really for Gulf Knight but any one with knowledge can be helpful. Here goes, I am have modeled before nothing huge just star trek ships for game in that area but now I would like to start modeling planes, Gulf how did you start off? do you use 3 view drawings? if you do where do you get them? and do you have any pointers for me and any one else who are trying but not getting that far. Thanks alot I love you stuff now if I only had time to put every thing in to usaf and download new stuff for Strike fighters

Also, don't get started unless you have 3ds max 2.5 or 3.x. The exporter only works with those versions.

BigJohn~ Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad you like my stuff. As for how I got started, I can only say that it took lots and lots of practice and agree with Russo that Mustang's tutorials are really very helpful. As far as three-ways go, here are some of the sites that I use as resources (I have them ranked in order of quality):
http://www.onnovanbraam.com/index.php?main=links&group=blueprints
http://www.suurland.com/
http://www.fortunecity.com/marina/manatee/272/
http://www.combataircraft.com/
http://www.airwar.ru/indexe.html
http://www.simviation.com/designresources.htm
http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/ar/index.html
http://www.dfrc.nasa.gov/gallery/graphics/index.html
http://avia.russian.ee/air/usa/index.html
http://www.ipclub.ru/arsenal/hardware/draws/
http://wherewolf.narod.ru/drawings/Drawings1.htm
http://avia.russian.ee/index2.html
http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/aircraft3-view/

Sometimes, along with the three-ways, I'll use a web-model to guide me...this can be invaluable to show those hidden, hard to other-wise-model details. I have dozens of free to download 3ds models on my site that you are more than welcome to take and use to help you modelling your own. (Bandwidth problem solved. \:D \:D )

Hope this is helpful.
