Just downloaded and installed SP 9 following the instuctions.Sim loads ok but when loading a mission it asks for cd#1.I've got cd 1 in the install drive and click on ok but it still keeps asking for the cd...Also tried the no -cd file and get the same response..I've edited all the necessary files to point to the install location F:\USAF..Thank you for any help

Russ did you also make sure to modify the CTM and Tgen files in your mission folder? this may be the problem.

Yep changed the path in both those files and the sim.ibx file in the root directory of USAFas suggested at McFly's site

I don't mean to keep beating at a dead horse, But that tgen and ctmdb is also in the root directory. But I imagine you changed those too because usually it'll give you a different error than what you are getting.
Also did you copy your terrain and sound files properly? You need to copy your terrain folder from your stock usaf game, and paste it into the RESOURCE folder of the sp9game. Then copy the sound folder from the stock, and paste it into the RESOURCE folder of SP9. If done correctly it will ask if you want to replace the existing folders. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help..did all the things you suggested and now it just crashes to the desktop when a mission starts loading.Going to let it rest and fly another sim.Thank you again ,,Will give it another try whem 9.2 comes out

Something else I thought of Russ, Does it CTD in Single missions that you have downloaded? Or does it crash in the quick mission editor, when you select ground targets and load ground weapons. If that is the case then that's normal . That is a bug Slikk is fixing in the 9.2 release. Also if you are taking stock missions and loading them into SP9 you'll get a CTD too. You will need to load missions made exclusively for SP 9. There are many on our site.

Seems just a stock install of USAF crashes whenever i choose a mission..The mission starts loading and the orange bar starts moving and CTD.
I've installed both in XP and 98..Ran fine the last time I had it on my hard drive.Going to do a reinstall later and shut everything off in the background.Only two new things running Saitek offical drivers and the cable internet thing.Maybe one of those is messing things up.I'd be happy to just get the patched basic version running and add admin 8.4

***Changed my nvidia drivers back to the older 30.82 and its running great and got Superpro installed.Was a case of not running on the newest drivers,,Now I can wait for9.2 to come out..Thank you for the help,,Heading over to download some missions
