Your enthusiasm is heartening, guys! I'm doing my best to get the plane within poly limits and still looking good. I've got a few issues to work out, yet. I'm attaching the engine to the flaps, but it still isn't quite right...any suggestions here? Also, I don't have a clue about making this baby hover...anyone, anyone??? I'm just glad it flies! LOL

I agree with Priestmachine...with all these models that everyone is adding to the game, it'll be ATF revisited!

Gulf Knight - I've downloaded some of your aircraft along with aircraft others have done in an effort to make USNF all over again (albeit with better graphics).

So far I've recreated a bunch of Desert Storm missions with F14s, F/A18s, A-6Es, etc.

Next I'm planning missions over Vietnam in F4Bs, A4s, A-6s, and A-7s. Are there any F8 Crusaders out there?

Obviously, the limiting factors here (and they're big ones!) is only the Vietnam theatre has an ocean and there is no operational carrier.

But its still fun as hell !

That's the awesome aircraft I was looking for!! U da man!!! This will definitely bring the Jane's ATF back to life only it's much better in graphics, flight dynamics, the whole bit!!!!!

Here's a thought on hover: Does USAf model the modern F100 style thrust so that the F-15's and later can all accelerate while going straight up? If so, we may just have the thing to make it hover. If the flight model will give us a zero g or enough thrust to achieve a zero g than it might work. The code may have to be rewritten for stability in the hover though. Gads, I know nothing about code!

WOW! Great work UMM607! This is your best yet! How do you make the engine rotate? Do you have to put down the Landing gear, flaps or what?

Maybe the hover thrust mode can be attached to one of the lower throttle speed keys IE F2 etc...perhaps the angle of thrust can be altered to push the aircraft vertically via that key....but .I would assume the code for that is in the exe ?
perhaps someone knows more ?...I just wondered , but im not sure if and how to do it....lol
