Been looking through the manuel & can't find the answers to the following 2 ?s:

1. what happens when a wingman Sorts Targets? What does it mean to "Sort" as in the voice command "Sort Targets"

2. how can you know the diff between an incoming RGM & a HSM, or how does the pilot know which to use, flares or chaff? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

1. Wingma(e)n confirm they will go for the same type of target as you have targetted and prioritize. Note: as good as this may sound in theory, don't expect all that much from your wingman

2. It's hard to tell sometimes. With RGM you will hear the RWR tone. To be safe, in case you are unsure: Always drop chaff as early as possible, and flares a bit later on, when you have visual ID on the incoming missile in F5. Always: Better safe than sorry, so don't save your F&C !

That's right, heaters are passive and hence do not alert your RWR. So unless you visually spot them there's no way of knowing that an IR-missile has been launched at you.
