Totally new terrain made by Michele Palermo. Also has destroyers that shoot and move, and an aircraft carrier that you can land and take off from!

I did not know there was any up dates for James ww2. WOW!! The only problem is when I fly WW2, all the planes are plastered with Strike Fighters skins.
THANKS for the information!!!

Does the carrier move?

Graphics for the carrier can be fixed.

As of this moment it doesn't. I believe it's something they're continuing to work on. Even so, I find it incredible that there's a landable carrier ingame now biggrin

EagelTalon:
Heck yeah man, lots of mods have been made for it to update it. High quality models, terrain repaints, etc. Including, what is in my opinion, THE most detailed P-51 I've ever seen in a flight sim. Some screens:

Looks good, thanks for sharing. Really liked the atmosphere of Janes WW2, what with the big band, and those museum movies, really good.

The new terrain for WW2 Fighters is awesome! So what if it has a few flaws? It's a visual treat to fly and the included mods within are a plus. Yes, there is still some debugging to do, but considering this was done by a few individuals, it's a really outstanding effort. You can also look foward to more mods for it in the near future. You also can't argue with the price of all this hard work. It's free! BTW, just submitted another mission for this terrain, so it should be out with the next site update. I plan on doing more as time passes for this mod, so there will always be something new to try and fly with it.

Agree 100%, Jane's closing down was a real loss to the sim world. frown

Do you think that is a nice looking carrier?
I am not knocking the mod or the modder here, as it is obviously a work in progress.

It's just jarring considering how GREAT everything else in the shots looks.

Yes, this sim has alot going for it. New mods and missions and other goodies appear all the time for it. Here's another thing it has going for it, it's a good sim to learn modding. The utilities to start are also available on the site for free. Modders on the site are always willing to help if you have a problem and info is abundant for anyone wanting to do it. Only downfall of the sim is it's kinda hard nowadays to find. If you can find a copy, get it. Not too many copies of it floating around and usually those who do have it won't sell it. Occasionally, Ebay has a copy posted, but you have to keep checking to find one. Otherwise, it's still a great sim to fly and mod. Easy to learn, yet still has enough controls, options and such to make it something most never get tired of.
