No, the fix is there, just install and fly...and fly...and fly...

is the autopilot function disabled in the the new exe ??

if you mean "when ever I activate my autopilot on a mission it says engine overtorque left engine damaged"

then no the autopilot is not disabledthe problem is old version save games are only semi compatible with the newer exe save games
you can fly sans autopilot or restart your campaign

Hi brouwers,

Let me ask you if you were flying a "saved" game with the new .exe ? If yes the autopilot will do odd things whenever a new exe is in use with a saved game from a previous version.

yes. I am using old save games, i'll finish the lebanoncampain and after that i'll switch to the new exe. ( I thought maybe using autopilot is not good eneough for hardcore helo simmers, so I hesitated for asking the question.}

I use the autopilot a lot, but then they all laugh at me...some of these guys have got very expensive equipment, that's my excuse...

Heck, A/P is VERY important!

If you set it up right, it's like having an "ejector seat" for those tricky situations - you know, when you creep up over the ridge, and get lit up by about 8 sams? If you have put a waypoint behind you in shelter, hitting G is about the fastest way I can do a 180 back to safety.

LP - I've used that trick too, although I think I have often stabbed at "G" when I am at about 10 feet and sinking, where it doesn't have any effect!

Good idea on the tips thing, maybe Fallon could add it to his FAQ too?
