ok we want to concentrate on what people playing the game want , we got plenty of ideas at the moment but we always open to suggestions. Not promising your idea will be possible or done but you never know, hehe and ill make sure you get your name in if anything comes of it and it original. So ill do some ideas to get you started What Campaign Changes would you like to see ( mission generation ) Campaign Changes ( Balance of Power , Units ) Weapon Performance Tweak , i.e like CGI Carrier Weapons are tougher , what else should be changed Textures Changes, what unit, what type of terrain, building etc Flight Model Changes Remember these just pointers and somethings like flying the B52 ? might not be possible ( that one is highly unlikely ) but start putting suggestions down. Also we are always looking for new members at http://www.egroups.com/group/eechmods dont worry if your not a programmer or artist or fm expert. We looking for playtesters as well to find out exactly what changes these mods have and also people to just put sugestions down and give new ways of looking at things.

Would it be possible to have the aircraft be a bit more active in evading threats? Currently an A-10 on a mission blithely flies directly into triple A without so much as dip of the wing. Also, the naval assets do not respond to a threat with anything approaching an appropriate defense. They sit there like bloody ducks.

Hi there Spawnbob,
Here is my two bits / cents worth....
I would like to see...
1. a number of Skirmishes with Specific events, kinda like for example, capturing a base on top of a snowy mountain, or a skirmish where there are thousands of infranty advancing on the enemy, just imagine flying over them and giving backup, or escorting and helping an apocylpse now number of choppers to an attack destination, eg 50 choppers in formation, hehe.
2. I would like rivers to look more like the colour of rivers... I used to land in the bottom of valleys and then sink, oops.
3. I really wish you could tinker with the camera views (action camera is too brief before it swaps to the next angle, how bout a floating side cam view, or especially a behind view that wasnt static... cant explain this, but see FA18)
4. I want increased frequency of lightning and thunder!!!!!! Still never seen the damn lightning, its kinda mythical.
5. More infantry at bases, and infantry on the carriers... they are damn quiet, and how cool would that be.
6. More tree placement in a skirmish if CPUs can handle it.
7. To play chess on the multi function display (remember hehe), nah only kidding bout that one.
Above is the Lock Doctrine. You talented ppl out there, ya know who you are, ya know they are relatively practical and could increase enjoyment, so lets be doing it please and then name the patch after me, hehe.

Would it be possible to add more weapons like bombs? or modifiying a current weapon to make it behave like a bomb? add some bombs to the payload of russian choppers and fixed wing aircraft if possible. Anything else that adds more to the realism would be great. And would it be possible to have 2 people in a chopper in multiplay? And can we use the "take out the lead tank stop the whole convoy" tactic? Can you modifiy the AI? thats all i can think of for now. Good luck modders

hehe some good suggestions there, some might be possible , some not, some have already been discussed.
ill take a look at them one by one.
I saying what impression i have and might not be current or right.
Flyable Aircraft
The man from Del Monte , hehe ok RW gives us the info that adding other flyable Aircraft would indeed be very hard. If it wasnt they would off done Ural Fuel Truck v Yemen Cat on roof. Then again nothing is impossible in theory and Falcon 4 got other A/C working.
AI Craft and Avoidance
Maybe possible, havent really look at this, but im interested in this more with Ground Targets and there reaction to threats.
Skirmishes with Specigfic Events
EEAH had more scripting commands than EECH so i gather. And there was the ability to make skirmishes do fancy scripts. Not sure this would be possible , unless there are script commands still in EECH but not used, which is possible.
Rivers that look like Rivers
I assume u mean the rivers in yemen , hehe which are more like quicksand. Yes this is already possible now using Blaze's texture tool.
Camera View
Not out of the question, from what ive looked at this might be associated with CGI's work.
Thunder and Ligtning
hehe i asked Dave Lomas this a couple of days ago. Apparently Lightning happens in the centre of the Storm every 4 to 20 minutes. The problem is being in the centre of the storm. So in fact it is actually more common than we thought but u have to be in the right place at the right time. We also discussed making storms bigger.
More Infantry at bases I started an associated topic , more units, this should be doable cant see why
More trees Again posible ( cant see why not ) but there 2 options, random generation of tress which might be whacky i.e trees on the sea, or a need to work it in conjunction with the actual map which would require more map work
Bombs Might be possible, 3d Models, can go down , i.e supply crates. Crates have damage values.
So this not out of bounds, but id imagine we would have to alter an existing weapon and doing targeting avoinics might be out of the question.
2 people in Cockpit it would be easy to say no, by a discovery by Stewie a long time ago , might mean this isnt totally out of the question in a rough and ready manner, but this is very up in the air.
AI
Depends on what u mean. To a certain degree yes, reaction times, response yep, new attack profiles etc not sure.

Okay... well... since SimHQ.com is hosting me mods (thanks ya'll) I suppose I should stop by once in a while and reply... here it goes: Everything that is not obvisously easy (only programers understand this) requires WORK. Everything I did with this recently released mod *cough* took very little work. Enabling weapons what are there are a peice of cake (deck cannons, defensive gatling guns... they were there already). You may say this could fold over to enabling aircraft... not so. First off I have to find this OMINOUSE "enable" line (I think there is one... just got to find it) THEN cockpit art and loadout screen art and some other stuff has to be assigned, which I have yet to find. Cockpit art and loadout screen art is outa my jurisdiction to begin with, as it's not in the EXE. I am not a miracle worker, I just wanted to make all me helo's invincible (and I did, F.Y.I.) so I could try some whacky stuff in campaigns, and in looking for this I found a whole mosh of info... then I figured I'd pass it onto the "local mod group" and HEY HO I was doing mods... I refuse to believe enabling aircraft is quote un-quote "IMPOSIBLE" because such things have been said by programers of other games... *cough* EAW *cough* F4 *cough* Fighter's Anthology *cough cough* I mean... HELL! They got tanks to work in that last one!! WTF!! Anyways, if you guys are REALY serious about getting other vehicles going, you better take come C++ classes and jump right in... it's the only way it's gonna happen! My $5.72 worth...

Hello Spawbob, Some ideas: 1) Fly other helicopters (no fixed wing a/c): Cobras and Hinds for example and perhaps troop/cargo choppers just for fun. To do that in Falcon 4 has required minor hacks (e.g. alter the available a/c selection routine) 2) Ground vehicles under attack should move and take cover: non-combatants (e.g. a fuel truck) should scatter, SAM to seek higher ground and engage, AAA should close-in 3) Ground battles: tanks and IFVs fighting each other and calling for CAS (the size of a 'standard' ground group should be increased) near the FEBA 4) Logicistics: convoys of trucks moving from main bases to FARPs, escorted (for example by AAA vehicles). A FARP/airport without enough fuel/weapons cannot generate sorties. This would add more tactical options (and problems) 5) Flights of troop/cargo helicopters should always be escorted by gunships 6) Forests: instead of a solid block of green more 'patches' to enable helicopters to bob up/down 7) Add more SAM/AAA units detached from ground groups; they should be placed nearby cities, bridges, choke points and so on 8) Replace the electronic map with a way more detailed one showing real terrain elevations (could be done automatically by reducing the size of the big one? Just guessing) 9) What about MANPAD units, moved nearby airports and FARPS during the night? Hope this will help. Please count me in as tester and developer (depending on the progr. language). hi,
been busy but had a blast on EECH over the last coupla days. i was playing one of the taiwan skirmishes and it went dead like it does, y'know no missions being generated. i had perfectly good helos just sitting around. i thought then that it would be nice to be able to set up your own missions like you could in EEAH - be good in campaigns too when you've done the recon and want to get on with the strike without having to wait a fortnight for the comp to generate the mish.

Hrmmmm.... All I can think of is a flight recorder, so you can go back after the mission and critique your own mission.......or just share with other EECH fans. I would also like to be able to fly some of the other helicopters, especially the CH-53s, -47s, AH-1s and OH-58Ds. - Ability to turn off laser target designator so enemy don't get alerted when targeted with DTV/Periscope (FLIR is not completely passive due to IR light)
- Ability to keep wingman's Active sensors "inactive" on command
- Ability to command Wingman to proceed to target without you
- Ability for pilots other than the flight lead to control waypoint selection
- Ability to direct/move Ground forces
- Backwards/Sideways FM on Comanche
- Ability to split flight (who needs 4 comanches for a recon mission when there's 8 other missions that need tending to and no aircraft available)

Hehe guys, you are quite optimistic. I estimate that most of the things you are suggesting would have taken the original, highly skilled programmers another year, and that with the fully documented souce code in their hands. Now imagine us poor hex editors ... :-). A free quote from the RW guys: "Believe me, if it would have been so easy we would have put it in". But of course, one can always dream.

Have the com/hok fly a little higher I think they do dumb things that low like come to a stop to go up and around one tree .
Fighters should dogfight
A-10s should use there stand off weapons more
same with the rest of the planes

thought of something else!!
saw a post once asking for rw to put a zoom function in the cockpit view (a la Flanker 2)
that would be v. useful. wouldn't have to bother with the F2 view and i'd like to leave the cockpit on all the time.

I also agree that EECH needs some AI tweaks. The fact the enemy ignors you if they happen to be on a specific mission not envolved with you and you can walk right up and shoot them down as long as you keep your radar off is my biggest complaint.
My second biggest complaint is the fixed wing straffing heavily defended areas going after enemy aircraft on the group.
