I've looked through the FS reference thread and couldn't help but notice that it doesn't seem to be kept up to date, and to be honest, not very helpful for a newcomer to the sim series...

Anyway, eventually, I hope prepare a kick-start guide that is as comprehensive as those found in the Strike Fighters/WoV/WoE forum...no stones are left unturned...But, baby steps folks...I must crawl before I can walk!

So, first thing's first, what are the must have downloads? Aircraft, panels, sounds, scenery, utilities...I'd like to begin compiling separate lists for both freeware and payware.
