Heh, it's not easy to keep a secret about what planes one wants to include. Red Baron has a very comprehensive list of aircraft. There are a few holes in the list, like the DH5 and the Sopwith Dolphin, but these are relatively small holes.

Since most folks who have worked on this stuff for some time know what the major planes are, it isn't hard to make a list of the most likely aircraft to be included. If you recall, I posted some lists of planes a few months back. It isn't hard to take the list of 100 and whittle it down to 50, or 30, or 20.

Now if you shock me and make a Paul Schmit 7 I'll print this out and eat a copy of it, with a witness. But I feel that my gastric integrity is safe. \:\)

Based on squadron usage, the holes in the Red Baron 3D planeset were:

British: Armstrong Whitworth FK8, DH5, Sop. Dolphin, Vickers FB5, and minor player - FE8

French: Hanriot HD-1, Morane L, Morane P (RFC usage), Voisin LA3 and LP8, Caudron G4, AR-1,AR-2.
(Caudron R-11, though widely covered did not show up until mid-October 1918.)

German: LVG C.II, LVG C.V, DFW C.V, Albatros C.VII, Albatros C.X,Rumpler C.VII (C.IV with high altitude engine), Junkers J1/J4, Siemens Schuckert DIII.

The German observation units would use a variety of planes based on altitude needs of an assignment. So, you may have dFW or Albaros C.VII ,mixed with a Rumpler for the high altitude work.

Thank you everyone for your tips and advice. I know this is going to be a huge undertaking for me. I would be very happy with myself if I can make something simple like house or even just a box. Like I said I find the work you guys do facinating, I'll enjoy trying this out even if it just gives me a better clue at what you're up against when giving us these awsome models.
