Ya know Oleg Maddox at one time showed a interest in a WWI sim based on the IL-2 engine. With the making of the Pacific sim by (partially) a 3rd party, maybe you could approach Oleg with what you have.
Just spit balling.
=TC=PVT.Roger PVT.Roger could be onto something here. Oleg has been involved in 'oversighting' several flight sim additions under the UBI/Maddox games banner. There certainly wouldn't be anything to lose from making an approach. And if accepted it would certainly provide an excellent high profile for the sim. Would also be worthwhile approaching Microsoft, and do it under the CFS banner. These are the only two developers who can successfully get flight sims out into the marketplace these days. Mad not to make a business proposition to either, or both, of them. But please don't let all that work just die. Or lie in limbo.

Many selfish replies here
Eddie, I am real sorry to hear your news, for me/us and last (but surely not least!) YOU guys who apparently and passionately came a long way with KOE.
I hope you will find a good job soon and ofcours hope to see KOE be finished and published in the forseeable future one way or another.
Meanwhile, I am having a blast with RB3 FCJ etc.
Keep the faith, Ed. S!

I don't get it;everything that has been put in is lost, all the effort and money,if they had hung in there,it would have payed itself back easily.......? I,m just wondering;was it far from finished or close to releasing? If the latter is the fact, finding fund would not be so hard would it? Damn if i was D.Trump i put up the $ myself!

Well this does suck.
The sad part about the whole thing is I really think there is a market for a decent WW1 simulation. The last good one is almost seven years old now.
I really wish there was something I could do to help. A co-op of gamers owning the game probably isn't a bad idea, I know I would contribute 100-150 bucks for it. I guess if we could get another 1000 to do the same then maybe we could help get the game to completion. Still that would only get us part way.
The secondary problem of course is getting it published. Matrix games probably could do it, they actually might show an interest but they are a small group and their shelf space is pretty small.
Eddie W is right though. Whether true or not simulations are considered not to be money makers. The sales are generally on the small side, the genre is demanding and exacting (not just from the gamers, coding realism is a lot harder than just making stuff up), and the games don't translate to Xbox or PS2 well.
Damn, I really wanted to see this one go forward too.
