Hello,

I was talking to a group of my old RB buddies today and the topic of KOE and Aspect came up--after we talked about it for a long time we came to the conclusion that the only way anyone could get any real information on KOE would be to go to their offices in Colorado.

I thought about that later--you know what?- Aspect can kiss my a$$

For any company, not just Aspect, to not even answer e-mails or inquiries shows a lack of professionalism and courtesy to their customers (present and future.)

People have been saying, "Well, they're busy," or, "They're keeping the lid on this." BS--

The fact that Aspect isn't willing to provide any information about KOE doesn't leave me wondering about KOE--it leaves me wondering about ASPECT, as a company and a commercial enterprise.

It is worrying.

As far as not answering e-mails goes, that, sadly isn't as uncommon as it ought to be! What worries me is the cumulative lack of contact.

No e-mail responses
No website update
No forum activity

They don't have a forum of their own, and don't seem to be visible here either. It does all look very terminal \:\( As was pointed out by Osram in another thread, they may just be having a few problems... but the prolonged silence says these are not minor issues.

No company in their right mind would alienate their customer base if they had any choice in the matter...

My suspicion, however, is that a good explantion will be forthcoming in the near future.

Hope is eternal.

Dunno, maybe they are all on vacation.

You're right Hautz - it is totally irresponsible of a company to do this. Maybe the company, not just KoE, is going down. But maybe they are unsure of their future and that's why there's no response. Also, if they say that the whole thing is going down, it will lead us away from anything KoE (forums, their website, etc.). Maybe they figure they want to get things sorted out there privately - it's anyone's guess.

I think many of us are moving on from the KoE boards with the hope of the game coming out, but knowing deep down that it won't happen.

Could it be that Aspect is a new startup company, or new to gaming software creation? Maybe they are not aware of this site? Maybe they lost the only person who was aware of this site? Maybe they are struggling to keep the thing going and don't have time or vision to update the fan sites. Maybe they are just not wanting to tip there hand? Micro soft has a nasty habit of forcing comptition out of business, so perhaps Aspect is staying in the trenches until thaey have a marketable product in hand. Wild speculation on my part. I want this sim, and I want it bad. Despite Kess's brilliant RB work, RB is just not cutting it for me anymore. Too many PC upgrades, unstable servers, and the inability to use multiple controllers has closed that chapter for me a couple years ago now. But I got the Paper Kite Jones and I got it bad.

Common Aspect, throw us a bone here.

I think the main thing is not to get our panties in a bunch over this. None of us is as important as we'd like to think.

Time will tell and it costs nothing to wait to upgrade. The longer it takes the cheaper the parts will be.

In the mean time, come play Red Baron MMP or enjoy SP with Full Canvas Jacket or Hell's Angels superpatch.

I've sent Aspect a series of courteous e-mails asking about KOE. I wouldn't expect a company that doesn't answer direct e-mails about their products would bother to post anything here.

Wow there have been a lot of e mails sent it appears, and still no reply. I've sent two now myself.

Well the only other option is to go to Denver and knock on the door lol. Hey I might be flying out west and taking a train through Denver Colorado to San Fran in a few months. Maybe I can hop out and find Aspect! What should I do if no one is there? Write a note about how we all need a reply and must....have....this.....sim....then tie it to a brick and throw it through the window? lol. ;\) :p
