Less than six months from the supposed release date, and we have dead silence here on this board (four five days now) and from the developer.

Hello, Aspect? This is Droops. You don't know me, but I have some advice for you. If you're serious about releasing this game, you need to get off of your butts and get some publicity going.

How about it? An article, some screenshots, some sort of media campaign. Anything! Please?

Hello, is this thing on?

Well, theres a new book that should make using the Torque engine alot easier. http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=5638

Not that I could actually do anything with the engine or the book. \:D Flybert has had a Torque indie license for a few years now I think.

If you want something to keep you occupied pick up an Xbox and a copy of Ninja Gaiden. Holy cow, what a ball buster of a game! I kid you not, this game is an all consuming fire if you make the commitment and take up the challenge.

As far as KOE, I dunno. I check back on the boards about once a week to see if Aspect has thrown us a bone. Every week nothing, nothing. What are we suppose to think. Last I heard the publisher was going to put up a proper product page. I got that straight from JP via email. That was months ago and nothing ever appeared. No explaination from Aspect. I don't know what to think about this sim. I am clueless.

Keep an eye out at Sourceforge for any dropping of massive amounts of code for Knights Over Europe \:\( \:\( \:\(

Of course I'm joking, but I, too am beginning to wonder. I'd like to make the analogy to the release of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper, with the reporters saying "The Beatles have dried up! They can't think what they're doing in the studio, etc.". But you can only make that kind of analogy after the fact!

I'll believe it when I see it.IMHO opinion, it's not going to happen.

How could it take untill 2005? I mean that last news was that the game was almost done, but now that they were being published by Aspect they had a little more time (Q4) to smooth it out. I mean, by the screenshots you can see the game is near some level of completion, at least a late Beta stage. I cannot figure out why they would just dump a game that was so close to finished.

Oh no \:\( . Is that the abandoned Sierra project? Forgot what it was called - Desert Fighters or something? I played the demo of it but my machine at the time couldn't handle it. Looked neat though \:\(

Desert fighters was quite far advanced when it was abandoned \:\(

I will believe in KOE when I see the first review or the box in the shops, as much as I wish it to come out \:\(
Sorry to be so pessimistic, but the developers media approach is somewhat underwhelming, is it ?

My entire online future is banking on the release of a WWI flight sim, hopefully this one. So I just wrote a letter to aspect simulations and hopefully will get a response. I'll keep you posted if I do.

S!

Daze how long ago? Companies are sometimes slow writing back, and I've waited 2 or 3 weeks for a reply from others. But if you wrote like 2 or 3 months ago and heard nothing I'd be really worried.
