The biggest reason they gave it to Lothar was for propaganda and morale. They thought that Ball being killed by one of them would be a shot in the arm.

According to this:

http://www.theaerodrome.com/aces/england/ball.html

Leutnant Hailer, a German officer on the ground, witnessed Ball's undamaged aircraft emerge alone from the clouds, 200 feet above the ground in an inverted position with a dead prop.

Reading that, maybe he suffered vertigo while in the cloud.(Just my theory.)

Give this a look:

I just have one simple question...

Can anyone direct me to anything published or posted by the designers of KoE as to what we can expect from multiplay?

lol - I would like to know what we can expect from the game, single or multiplay \:\) . Oh well, we'll see when it comes out. In the meantime we can continue on with our rampant speculation. It's more fun than facts anyway \:D .

Yes, KOE will be better than RB2/3D. RB2 was a dissapointment from the very beginning - buggy to the point of being unplayable on release, even buggier 3D upgrade, etc. Only due to the efforts of the community is it even playable now, and it's just not that enjoyable unless you add FCJ. I have seen FCJ (friend of mine got it) and while it is a major improvement, I'm not spending another $30 to get a game I originally spent $50 on to work right. With all the free add-ons RB@ is merely adequate, not great and I think KOE has a chance to be the best flight sim in the last 10 years. That said, we shall see!

Analog, You're kind of hard on the old game there buddy! I never played RB2 but the stock RB3D is nothing like "unplayable". You can play the stock RB3D with a glide wrapper and it works fine. The game is not bug free, but declaring it unplayable or anything like that is somewhat misleading IMO... \:\) The game is great!! Granted it has a few bugs, but at its heart it is a great sim!
