Just some clarification of what "multi-crewing" is interpreted as.

There has been mention of a player being able to "hotseat" from a pilot to gunner position. While this is indeed handy, I am really hoping that KOE will have true multi-crew capabilities.

Would there be any reason why one player could not pilot the plane while another player plays gunner? On a grander scale, when flying something like the Gotha or HP400 (hoping) will there be an option for multiple players to man positions on the craft?

Any feedback from the KOE staff would be appreciated. I really hope this extends to more than just one player jumping around positions.

Probably the best example I know of in the WW1 genre is the LZ30 Zeppelin in Dawn Of Aces. Seven players could all house the craft in flight!

As follows: 1/Pilot/observer, 2/UpperTail, 3/Front gondola, 4/Left engine car, 5/Right engine car, 6/Top, 7/Aft gondola.

Truly one of the best attributes of this sim and a very rare thing it seems.

Dantes:

You may want to take a look at the interview we did with CheckSix. I've included a link to the English version below.

Ahh right in the article:

"'Knights Over Europe' will ship with support for both LAN and Internet play, including the ability for players to cooperatively man multi-crew aircraft. We know this has been a popular feature in past simulations that has been neglected of late."

Sorry about that. I should have read the article more closely the first time around. That is great news and neglected no more it seems.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm glad we haven't scared the developers away from the forum. Passions ride high when it comes to simming. ;\)
