Funny you mention the Blue Max. I've had it on order from Amazon for over a week. Due in any day, along with The Day the Earth Stood Still, and The Thing (From Another World). Can't wait !

The Blue Max is probably one of the best air warfare movies ever made. I never get tired of watching that classic. \:\)

Damn! I thought this thread was to apply for beta testing \:\(

Well I count myself as a real WWI buff - not just the airwar.

And for the rest pretty good. And I'll keep my mouth shut if it means I get to play the beta (lord knows we pay for enough bugs :p )

I am a natural born nitpicker. I find bugs like others coins on the street ;\) .

I fly sims since 1992 and i think i am a WW1, WW2 and a general aviation buff with quite some knowledge about the topic. Although i don't wanna jump on the FM train cause its hard to judge if the FM is wrong in general. But big errors are always obvious----> IL2/FB :/.
I'd like to beta test KoE. I want this sim to be a BlockBuster, so i'm eager to be part of the whole thing and share my ideas with the dev team to make this sim better. But be warned, i am not an eye candy fetishist.
I want you to make it realistic and not(too) pretty ;\) .

Where do i sign up?

Yea, I remember those " climbs like a monkey" threads.

One more qualification/category:

Must be able to spend hours and hours trying to do things "wrong" just to see what happens, notice and report accurately.

If a sim is only tested at doing proper procedures then cracks and exploits won't show till it gets out. Of course if the development team doesn't listen to the testers... well it's not good. So testers that do what's "not real" just to see how/if it works and a team that responds is a very real need.

Well you have to be able to repeat it and describe it so that others can do the same and.... the plane has to react in an unreal way. Anyone can screw up flying but when it causes the plane to either screw up wrong, or still fly right, or even worse to fly better than when flown "right" then there's a problem that any tester who only checks if right moves get right results will miss every time!

Didja know that the corp Alb FM for RB3D has less drag the more you tilt the plane? Actually it's any plane in the sim that uses the particular wing the Albs do, out of about 4 different types, which is why at least some FM mods avoid that wing. Not the real wing, the wing code choice in the sim. And then there's the famous "shoot me so I can go faster" bug.....
