New guy here, please hold your fire for the following question(s) :-). I am finishing assembling an "old" PC to run older games like EF2000 2.0, F22/TAW, etc. I have a Voodoo 5 AGP card installed but EF 2000 does not recognize because it is too "new". So, I found some Voodoo 2 cards on EBAY. Question is, if I buy the PCI accelerator version, will that plug into my AGP card and have EF 2000 recognize it or should I buy the stand alone Voodoo 2 card and take my chances with it running the other programs? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks fellas.

there are no standalone voodoo2's

first off pass through doesnt work under xp (9x its fine)
you need to swap cables or have dual inputs or a kvm switch

2nd for windows games having 2 glide capable cards will cause you problems although you should be fine with ef2000
and taw should run fine with the v5

Thank you for writing back! I am running WIN 98, sorry I did not state that. So if I have the swap cables, EF 2000 should work? That is my only real sticking point that I see? EF2000 should "see" the voodoo when I use it and TAW should see the voodoo 5, if I am thining through this right? Thanks again.

ef2000 should see your voodoo2 its a dos game
ps: you need to add some lines to your autoexec.bat to make ef2000 work with it cant remember tham sorry
you may have trouble with taw + 2 glide compatable cards
if could possibly be fixed by not installing drivers for the v2 wont affect ef2000 as its a dos game
