I frequently check out game stats on this service because I'm always curious to see which games are popular with gamers an which games are not. I'm even more interested in seeing games that started off with a lot of user activity but then died off pretty quickly.

For example, here is a list of games along with their all-time PEAK number of users who were in the game at the same time on Steam:

1. Cyberpunk 2077 830,387
2. Rainbow Six Siege 199,830
3. Total War: Warhammer II 84,254
4. Armed Assault 3 (ArmA3) 56,185
5. F1 2020 (Formula One) 23,766

Now here are the same games along with the peak number of concurrent players within the past 24 hours:

1. Cyberpunk 2077 9,466
2. Rainbow Six Siege 96,798
3. Total War: Warhammer II 26,609
4. Armed Assault 3 16,849
5. F1 2020 10,124

From the stats you can clearly see that all of the pre-release hype for Cyberpunk was massive but then the player count dropped quite dramatically over time. You can also see that Rainbow Six: Siege has had an amazing amount of staying power.
