It's been a few years for me, but last time I was in the market I concluded there just wasn't any real money to be saved by building my own PC, so for the first time in my life I bought pre-built.

Plus I no longer have multiple PC's and parts lying around like I used to, so no real way to diagnose exactly what component is bad if I get any lemon parts.

And now with the death of Fry's Electronics (I had a real return nightmare the last time I built via parts bought online and got some bad RAM and vowed to only buy parts in person afterward) I just can't see ever building my own again for ANY reason...
