Oh we definitely had a Student Union back then. Norton Union (on the South Campus, of course) was nice and had a cool Rathskellar where many a beer was consumed. Apparently it closed in 1982.

During my time there, however, they had banned all fraternities and sororities and I don't believe there was a football team either..YES my recollection is correct, though football was reinstated in 1977.
