Merry Christmas, all!

----- While on evening patrol on December 19th, 1917, Sgt. Grey found himself alone, having lost sight of his flight in the dark. He flew alone for some time, briefly joining a flight of seven Sopwiths before bidding them farewell once more and going into German lines in search of his comrades. Near Laon, Sgt. Grey spotted Capt. Ortoli being attacked by two Albatros. Retaliating, he first killed the pilot of one German craft before turning to engage the other. As he merged with the remaining German, he deftly flicked his SPAD around to get on his opponent's tail. However, he had an excess of speed, and so swerved to the right to avoid the collision. The German pilot inexplicably also swerved in the same direction - causing the collision that Grey had sought to avoid. The Albatros fell away in pieces - but Grey's Spad had miraculously stayed together. Unfortunately, the collision had gravely wounded Sgt. Grey, who circled down to land in German lines. He had expired before the first German troops had reached him.
