Diner leaves waitress a $2000 tip and the restaurant can't pay her cos they say they can't process tips over $500. Some of the restaurant employees suggested to the restaurant to do 4 separate $500 tip and the restaurant still insist they can't do that. The customer left $2000 tip on the credit card for a $69.01 dining bill, Process the charge for $2069.01. How hard is that? But I bet if the customer was ordering something expensive like champagne. the restaurant could do a pre-authorization for $2000 to make sure the card has money on it. Looks to me the restaurant trying to pocket $1500 that's not theirs.
