Oh and while 2020 has been an active hurricane season it's still nothing compared to 2005 when we had 3 major hurricanes pass by the US southeast. The worst of those of course was Katrina.
What I heard there have never been more tropical storms recorded for the Atlantic season, but there might have been more damage in other years (overall or just in the US). There is still Theta out in the Atlantic but moving east, and there seems to be a new one forming in the central Caribbean Sea.
