Not really a competition but just a thread devoted to people who through their own will, not circumstance, have led or are leading impressive lives.

I'll start with Jonny Kim. Born 1984. Enlisted in the Navy out of high school in 2002, went to BUDS and became a US Navy SEAL. Deployed twice, 100 combat missions. Bronze star / Silver Star. Earned an officers commission when he obtained a BA from University of San Diego in 2012. Went to Harvard Medical School and became a doctor in 2016. Accepted into NASA Astronaut Corps in 2017. Found time to marry and father 3 children as well.
