I see. Maybe it will help Jara to track down the source of the problem, at least.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java? Or, you could try installing an earlier version of Java.

P.S. Isn't there a utility on the Java website that allows you to test if Java is correctly installed on your system? You might try that first.
