Headed out to see now, I'm anxious that the Huns, approaching roughly head on, should yet slip by us. But another check with the Controller enables me to confirm we're on course for an interception.



And there they are! Looks like a squadron of bombers, with a gaggle of escorts above. We'll not be caught by surprise, this time!



I order the boys to get stuck into the escorts. And this time, I'm staying with them - I pull up and around, reluctantly letting the bombers press on for now...



...and steer for the middle of the developing dogfight between Spits and yellow-nosed109s.



The party is soon in full swing...



...and I chose my own dance partner, hoping this is my chance to get one back on the same unit who gave us a hiding on the last show.



I get some good hits, and the Hun rolls over and goes down.



I keep after him, and he dives away smoking after my next attack.



He's not done yet, though. The 109 recovers and heads for home. I check my tail, and then race after him.



I park myself in the 109's blind spot and close the range.



My next burst sends him flipping over to the right.



This time, it's enough - he goes straight down, out of control, and is still spinning seawards when I decide it's time I got back into the fight.
