The sqn was vectored by Pine tree Control to bounce 2 Flights of e/a south of London at Angles 20. Over the RT you could hear the Sqn Leader saying Help yourself, no fighter Escort . I RT to green flight and yellow flight to stay tight and follow me in. I took the starboard flight of 6-9 e/a and banged away then up and around for a 2nd go at the Jerrys. I got the engine of one then came the hiss of empty guns. Rolled over and dove for home. No loss to our 8 attacking a/c ,but 3 damaged. Claims 2 destroyed + mine Damaged.
