No superstructure, just a small bridge at the bow. This RR concept freighter is the one I had in my head while writing. It goes down in coastal waters, and I wanted it to lie just below the surface so that its tethered distress buoy would make it to the surface.

In hindsight could have thrown a few extra fathoms overhead!
