Very quiet on solid rumors regarding AMD or the competition. So, for the heck of it, here's yet another W10 1809 warning for everyone.

Microsoft Opens Floodgates on Windows 10 October 2018 Update – Hitting “Check for Updates” Begins Installation Process (Not Recommended Yet)

[Per Microsoft:]

"Rollout Status as of December 17, 2018: Windows 10, version 1809, is now fully available for advanced users who manually select “Check for updates” via Windows Update.

On November 13, 2018, we re-released the Windows 10 October Update (version 1809), Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server, version 1809. We encourage you to wait until the feature update is offered to your device automatically."

Basically, they admit there are still issues. Only folks who are advanced users and really want the new W10 should download.

For me, W10 1809 seemed to work right away (?) The latest AMD 18.12.2 GPU driver was a super pain -- the driver loaded but several hours of trying things never got AMD Settings to show. Then, when I had given up, I tried one last time and the AMD Driver worked. So, now, it all works for me. Apparently, other folks have had an even harder time -- or were unwilling to waste a day trying smile
