AMD launches Radeon RX 580[SP] with 2048 Stream Processors in China

The Radeon RX 580 “2048SP” appears to be more of an RX 570 rebrand than the actual RX 580. The graphics card features 150W TBP and 7 Gbps memory clock, a common feature of cut-down Polaris 10/20.

It is unlikely that this SKU will be available outside China.

Apparently, AMD, Nvidia occasionally make a lower cost, lower performance GPU for some markets. But, the AMD, Nvidia naming can mislead some buyers. An Nvidia example was a lower version of GTX1060 (they say).

Meantime, an updated 12nm RX580 (maybe called RX590 according to some rumors) is due out soon. Has higher clocks than current RX580. A small (roughly 10 percent) improvement over RX580 is speculated/rumored.
