Well, I just waited 10 - 15 minutes for it to load into the game to join a starport and it never finished, so... I gave up.
Edit: The second time I tried to play the loading only took a few seconds. Strange. Framerate seems to have improved, though I still don't know how to break into someone else's ship. As a pirate, this is a job requirement.
most ships can be broken into with a gun or your ship bound weapons. Can take a few clips but you can get into a hatch.
