Regarding the competition - Intel:

Apple’s ‘Project Kalamata’ For Custom Mac Processors Will Not Impact Intel Significantly As Macs Only Make For 5% Of Latter’s Revenues According To Barclays

..Apple will switch away from Intel’s chips on Macs by the year 2020..

..Mac sales make up for only 5% of Intel’s overall revenue – not a very significant chunk..

If Apple were to design and build processors from the ground up, its entire ecosystem for the Mac will either have to be re-written for the new silicon; or it’ll have to use Intel emulation..

A very "Intel friendly" article. Losing 5% of their processor business is big -- not small (the article itself says the loss will be $3 Billion a year -- seems like lots of well paying jobs).

However, we'll see if the article is accurate in a couple years. Regardless, Intel will stay #1 in CPU sales (unless the upcoming AMD 7nm CPU node hits a "home run" -- I'm expecting a "double").
