Basically, Ryzen and Vega are new designs that took 4 years to develop. At some point, they had to stop designing and start making parts to sell. Even so, the first products are very competitive with established Intel and Nvidia products. Things will only get better over the next couple years -- the AMD spokes person says in the interview.
