Steam Hardware & Software Survey: June 2017

Steam conducts a monthly survey to collect data about what kinds of computer hardware and software our customers are using. Participation in the survey is optional, and anonymous. The information gathered is incredibly helpful to us as we make decisions about what kinds of technology investments to make and products to offer...

Nvidia GPUs win -- with GTX1060 being most popular DX12 GPU.

Intel CPUs win -- with 4 core being most popular. 95% of gaming CPUs run less than 3,7 GHz.

Because Survey participation is optional, not all Steam users systems are represented. So, the fine details of the survey may be in error (vs reality). However, the larger conclusions are probably valid and are used by game developers to help decide what hardware to support.
