Yes, Intel has always had a good USA manufacturing presence -- as did AMD at one time.

Actually, back when I worked, a project team member (lead Software Engineer on my project) did something really good for our project. He gave a talk at a conference. Shortly thereafter, Intel hired him to lead a department at one of the USA manufacturing plants -- at twice my salary smile

Why didn't I go ??? Well, I enjoyed my work -- and now retirement from it smile
