Total tangent but I feel like without cockpits the X games would be disorienting as all heck with TrackIR. Reminds me of the time I tried it as infantry in arma.
You get used to it in Arma and just like when you first started using it at some point it become second nature in a FPS like arma.
You do have to keep the recenter button handy though.
