i approve the use of counter balance, but i dissaprove the use of hydraulic dampeners
i tried to use carr-mcmaster dampeners in a design i had 5 years ago, but it would be server to use on the wrists.
always think egronomics.

my current design works with a counter balance spring and friction through a collar clamp.
im away from home at the moment, but my design was based of this thread..
http://www.hovercontrol.com/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=43;t=22128

he uses an aluminum clamp and a derlin rod,
my collective uses derlin clamps and an aluminum rod (1" diameter to be exact- the bigger the better for increased friction area)
the answer i got from this thread was derlin collar clamps..
enco.com is a good place to get them
