All packages come with at least the aurora ship and a few months of insurance. I am talking about after that insurance has run out or if you start a second character (since your free ship will apply to only ONE of your characters at a time.)
They have confirmed a few times in interviews and posts that if you run out of insurance and you start a new guy he wont have anything starting out.
In that case i stand corrected and you are absolutely right.
For some people this is a complete turn off, but i must say i like it a lot, it adds a deeper layer of dificulty to the game.
