Yes the CRS is telling the ILS the direction from which to approach the runway and the compass setting it lies on. I was hoping it could just be a direct link between the CRS setting you input and your app but maybe it's not that simple.

Even with ILS landings and not ad-hoc flight plans it's useful to see your own heading in relation to the runway heading for the final intercept.


I am continuing to look into this. There is no CRS variable within the SDK but I do see that it's tied to the Horizontal situation indicator which I do have all of the info on (and there are a lot of variables for that gauge). I'm trying to figure out what all the variables mean and I'm learning about ILS approaches so hopefully once I figure all of this out I can figure out how best to implement this within FlightMap. helpful.
