shilka and gaskin is a good supplement For each ... so why shilka retired from servis many years ago in hungary but gaskin still in servis ?

Wiki is stupid again.

Hungarian Army was the most unusual during the ColdWar.
They used to spare on weapon investment...

- from 1969, each Hungarian tank regiments received 4pcs ZSU-23-4V1 each.
- from 1975, each Hungarian motorized regiments received 4pcs Strela-1 each.
(Contrary to Soviet practice, the Shilka/Strela systems were never mixed in Hungary.)

When the threat of attack helicopters become real (1990), instead of investing of the replacement of the Shilka with the Tor, the Hungarian army decided to scrap the Shilka, and leave the tank regiments completely without close air defense...

The same fate got the Strela-1/10 systems in 1996, all were scrapped.
