Admittedly, the only word in Russian that I know is "Pusk", so I will be of zero help here

@wasfa, just because it looks different doesn't mean it is more difficult. On closer examination there seems to be a lot of repitition of the buttons. Don't count yourself out yet. Nice pics too!

On the OCR thing, it may not be the best way to do it, but if I can find a half-decent program, I think it could work. The quality of the scans are pretty good so OCR should be able to pick it up... I'm still trying to find a program that is compatible with djvu (I didn't know about that format until max posted the link to the docs, now I think that djvu is way better than pdf in terms of both quality and compression!).
