Nice digs, Sim!

Is that a 27" or 30" Dell? Are you 1920 X 1200 or 2560 X 1600?

Funny, I'm almost done with a complete overhaul of my "pit" - more controllers added and many new ergonomic features.

Now that I've had CoD for long enough to fully understand all the Control section nuances, I can finally finish. Hopefully I'll be adding some pics to this thread before the days out.

So far, the coolest "cockpit/desk" I've seen so far is this one, designed and built by Propnut over at Warthog World. The utility, elegance and flexibility of his arrangement is what strikes me. Since I fly multiple sims and do other things with my computer, I don't want an enclosed cockpit. Besides, if you've built yourself a Spitfire or 109 cockpit to achieve the ultimate in "immersion" - what do you do when you fly other, completely different aircraft?

There are pics on both pages of that thread - incredible, to me.

The rotary could not re-circulate oil,so it had to dump it out onto the airframe. Castor oil, consequently, covered the entire aircraft after a short time. Even worse, atomized caster oil blew into the cockpit and impregnated the pilot. Pilots needed scarves to clean their goggles and faces. Since castor oil is a laxative, pilots suffered serious consequences after a few hours of flight. But such was the need for maximum power
