on NTC maps if you fly under 20 or so ft (naturally it a wee bit difficult to keep it there on realistic flight) but strangely that SAM can't touch you (except shilka's or anything else with a gun) even if they got a full lock on

if you come in low enough you can fly right up to em they may fire but the missle will go above you by a good 10ft. kinda a exploit but still good fun.


also a usual...if you have a fire: if the engine is dead and on fire, let it burn out as long as you dont have a fuel leak it wont spread. if the engine is just damaged and on fire, shut it down. NEVER use the fire extinguisher unless YOU REALLY NEED IT (IE: your last engine is on fire, apu is on fire, or if you have a fuel leak and a fire). I think one time i had a engine fire and had to turn the engine on and off 10+ times but never used my extinguisher once...kinda amusing, course it was NMC when i got back
