Hi skeemo, well I don't know about your problem, but I've encountered some control issues too, but for me it's the keyboard. I have a new laptop and Windows 7 installed, and some keys don't work at all, while others do the opposite of hat they're supposed to (like the yaw keys)! I must admit though, I'm not playing LB2 at the moment so it doesn't really matter... yet!

You could try going into the CA.INI file and increasing the joystick number entries that look like this...

XMin=-128,XMax=127,

u can do 2 things, 1 make a dos boot disk u can do that from lb1 disk.
or 2 press start and select run and type msconfig hit return. then find the sys file. edit the file were u type
FILES=45
BUFFER=45

save and return to desktop. run lb

i iam not home now so will look at this when iam home.

Well I'm very happy to hear that it works for you Phoenix. It' no big secret how I did it. I just installed the sim on to my old WinXP system (hell, we are moving fast if I can call XP 'old'), patched it, fixed it and then just put it in the installer. That's interesting...I've had intermittent problems with both JF-18 and LB2. Sometimes they want to work, othertimes nothing. Do you find that the sims work fine with the Defense+ engine disabled? That's the only thing I know of in COMODO that might be causing issues. The past few COMODO builds have had a lot of bugs and problems, so I'll test the sims with it disabled to see how they work out. It's a great firewall though, I'd hate to have to ditch it. You need the 'detre' program, find it here:
http://digitality.emenace.com/flyboy/lb2/progs/detre.zip

To use, extract the program to your LB2 folder (you can put it anywhere, but here makes sense)
Then drag the TRE file you want to open onto the program exe (you will then see a windows of the files being decompressed)
The files actually end up in the 'C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME\DATA\...' folder (that's where it is on WinXP, may be different for other versions of Windows)

Be warned though, there's not a lot you can do after that. Most of the files that get extracted themselves need a third-party program to decrypt - none of which are available for the LB-specific file types.
